Custom Adjustable Access for Erosion-Prone Beachfront

As many cottagers on the north shore of Nova Scotia have experienced, traditional fixed beach stairs require yearly repair and sometimes total replacement due to winter storms and bank erosion.

The unique design of Coastal Stairs allows for multiple interconnecting 10 foot sections to form whatever length is needed to fit your bank height.

Our component design makes it possible for your stairs to be adjusted to fit erosion changes in the slope of your bank, season after season.

The inter-connecting step sections are self-leveling once they are joined together, regardless of the distance or terrain.

We currently have clients with stair systems ranging from 30-70 feet.

The same set of stairs in the same location through 8 years of bank erosion.

4-wheeler access to site is required for installation and haul-out.

Final assembly at client location. We also offer seasonal haul-out services.

All stairs are made from hand-milled NB white cedar lumber.

Salt-resistant aluminum tread supports and galvanized hardware.
